The Women Cell movement become part of progressive era social reform, which was reflected by many of the reforms and issues addressed by CELL members. The Women Cell refers to the ability for women to enjoy their right to control and benefit from resources, assets, income and their own time, as well as the ability to manage risk and improve their economic status and well being. Women empowerment advocate, today’s women have more power than ever to make their own decisions about their body, sexuality, relationships and family matters. Improving education for women helps raise their levels of health and nutrition and reduces fertility rates. It also gives self- confidence and enables them to find better jobs, engage in public debate and make demands on government for health care, social security and other entitlements.
